Version 1.0 · Last updated 2 November 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Orbis Drive ("the Service"), a cloud file storage and shared workspace service provided by Orbis Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17116737), registered office 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Orbis Drive lets you upload, organise and share files and collaborate in shared workspaces. The Service may evolve over time as we add or change features. Our website describes the features available in the current release.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, verify your email address and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. The owner of a workspace is responsible for deciding who may join it and for the conduct of its members.
3. Plans and payment
The Free plan is available at no charge. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in pounds sterling through our payment provider, Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. The price applicable to your plan is shown before you pay. We will give you reasonable notice of any price change affecting an existing subscription.
4. Storage allowance
Each plan includes a storage allowance for the workspace, which includes files held in Trash. Individual files are limited to 5 GB. If usage exceeds your allowance, new uploads may be blocked until usage falls or you choose a larger plan.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the files you store. You give us the permission we need to host, transmit and back up those files in order to provide the Service. You are responsible for your content, for having the right to store and share it, and for deciding whether the Service is suitable for it, particularly for special category personal data or regulated information.
6. Sharing
A sharing link allows anyone who has it to access the shared file until the link expires or is revoked. You are responsible for the links you create and for any copies downloaded by the people you share them with.
7. Acceptable use
You must use the Service lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy.
8. Keeping copies
Deleted files remain in Trash for 30 days and are then permanently removed. While we operate backups for our own disaster recovery, these are not a customer restore service. You should keep independent copies of files that are important to you.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. See our Service Level Policy.
10. Data protection
We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy and, where we act as your processor, our Data Processing Agreement.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a business customer, then to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits or loss of data, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period. If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these Terms do not affect.
12. Cancellation and termination
You may cancel at any time, as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, or where required by law. Where reasonably possible we will give notice so that you can retrieve your files. After an account closes, we will delete its files within a reasonable period, subject to backup cycles and legal obligations.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the current version here with its date and give reasonable notice of significant changes.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where they live.
